About Studio S

Passion.
No better word describes the Studio S approach. The team at Studio S understands the power of portraits. In an instant, a portrait can take you back to another time and place. Portraits can fill a mother's heart with emotion, make grown men cry, and little children laugh. They can open a window in time connecting one generation to another. Portraits are about celebrating your story and cherishing the times in life that are most important.

Portrait Artist Suzanna Hand's career began as a hobby 13 years ago shortly after her first daughter was born. Her gift quickly became evident and soon family and friends were asking her to take pictures for their weddings and other occasions. Since then her career has flourished. She has honed her natural talent through both formal and informal training. As a member of PPA and NAPP, she continues to strive for excellence and stay on the cutting edge of all the latest trends in portrait photography.

Her passion for preserving memories stems from a house fire she experienced when she was 8 years old. Suzanna's family lost everything but the clothes they were wearing. The only pictures her family has from before the fire were the ones given back to them by relatives. This experience gave her and her family a greater appreciation for just how precious family portraits are. It also instilled in Suzanna a determination to preserve her family's memories now, not tomorrow.

The desire of Studio S is to help you capture and preserve the memories that are most important to you. From portrait restoration to beautiful archival quality albums, they offer more than just breathtaking portraits. They can assist you with all of your past, present, and future portrait needs. Studio S wants to be your family photographer.

Studio S is also a member of Now I Lay me Down To Sleep, a nonprofit organization that offers infant bereavement photography to parents suffering the loss of a child. This organization consists of a network of photographers who offer their services at no charge. Suzanna serves as the local area coordinator.
